HOW LIPOSUCTION WORKS

Vaser liposuction works by using sound waves to break up fat deposits while at the same time leaving nerves, blood vessels, and other connected tissue largely intact. The technology then liquefies the released fat cells, which is removed with suction. Your procedure will be carried out by a fully qualified expert team of GMC-registered consultant plastic surgeons, anaesthetists, and nurses.

All these may be performed as part of a Tummy Tuck procedure, and the cost you will be given will include any refinements such as liposuction that we need to perform to give the best possible result.

3D IMAGING

If you are unsure what can realistically be expected from Vaser Liposuction we have invested in one of only a few 3D body- imaging systems in the UK. VASER LIPOSUCTION RECOVERY

Following Liposuction it is not uncommon to experience a degree of swelling, bruising and even soreness in the treated area. The pain, however, generally reduces between 1-2 weeks after surgery. Any discomfort is easily managed with mild pain killers. Full results generally take around six weeks to become fully apparent once incisions have healed and the swelling reduces.

CONSIDERATIONS

All cosmetic surgery procedures carry some degree of risk and it is important to understand the potential risks associated with Liposuction procedures. HOW MUCH FAT CAN BE TAKEN OUT AND CAN YOU TREAT MULTIPLE AREAS?

Any operation or any cut in the skin leads to scarring. Most scarring after a breast reduction settles over the course of several months. Rarely, scarring can be a problem and in these cases, it will be a problem a few months after the operation.

If you do have scar problems, then you might want to apply creams or ointments recommended by your surgeon, or he may want to give you injections into the scar to help reduce some of the itch and pain associated with some of the more abnormal scars. Scars may also darken if exposed to too much sun or tanning booths after an operation, so you should minimise UV exposure to these areas.
