Breast reductions are performed with the patient under general anaesthetic and will also include an overnight stay in one of our partner private hospitals. Similar to most surgical procedures there will be a degree of scarring, however, your surgeon will endeavour to keep scarring to an absolute minimum. RECOVERY
Recovery time for a breast reduction generally takes around six weeks until scars fully heal. We recommend that patients avoid any heavy lifting for around six weeks following surgery. Patients should build up activity slowly and only undertake gentle activity after two weeks have passed. You should, however, be back to your normal activities after around six weeks.
