OBAGI RADIANCE CHEMICAL PEEL
This is a fantastic superficial chemical peel that contains glycolic, salicylic and lactic acid. This effective combination helps gently strip away the dead cells from the epidermis to reveal a brighter, tighter, more radiant new skin. It can be done in layers to increase the intensity for those looking for something a bit deeper and more powerful or can be done gently for those new to the process of chemical peeling. All skin types can benefit from an Obagi Radiance Peel. This is our clinic’s most popular chemical peel.
ZO STIMULATING PEEL
This wonderful peel combines salicylic, citric, and lactic acid to help tighten and brighten the skin. It can be combined with microdermabrasion or made into a relaxing deluxe resurfacing facial. The stimulator peel can be used to complement the ZO range of anti-ageing skincare to keep your skin in pristine health.
ZO MEDICAL 3 STEP PEEL (TCA & RETINAL)
Trichloroacetic acid peels are medium depth peels that can be used to help treat pigmentation irregularities, sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, dull/lacklustre skin, acne and acne scarring. This chemical peel is for people wanting to see more dramatic post-procedure results. After TCA peels the skin will shed and peel for 3-5 days. The skin must be prepared for 4 weeks prior to this peel with active skincare that your clinician can advise. This preparation will include products such as glycolic, salicylic acid and topical retinol or tretinoin. This is a great peel for those a little more adventurous and for those who want to deeply rejuvenate their skin.

CHEMICAL PEEL FAQ
WHAT TO EXPECT
The best chemical peels stimulate cellular turnover, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and improving overall skin tone, texture and clarity.
Medical chemical peels are not like beauty salon facials. They are designed to deeply exfoliate the skin and strip away dead and redundant skin layers. The treatment itself may be slightly uncomfortable/sting but the chemicals are only in contact with the skin for a brief period (2-5 minutes normally).
After your chemical exfoliation for face procedure, your skin may look slightly red and inflamed. This is the desired effect. Deeper chemical peels may cause peeling and desquamation of the skin. Again, this is normal and is the desired effect. Your Clinician will warn you which peels are likely to do this in your initial consultation. After a chemical peel, it is essential that you avoid exposure to sunlight or UV light and wear a sun block daily to protect your skin.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY SKIN FOR A CHEMICAL PEEL?
To get the best results from the peel you can prepare your skin so that it is primed and ready for the peel. Although this is not also necessary if you have time you can do this to help the peel penetrate a little more deeply and give you the maximum effect of the peel.
Your practitioner will explain how best to prep your skin in preparation for your chosen Chemical peel.
For the few days before a chemical peel you should avoid laser hair removal procedures, electrolysis, waxing, sunbathing, sunbed use, topical retinols and topical tretinoin.
WHO SHOULD AVOID CHEMICAL PEELS?
Chemical peels are not suitable for people on strong acne treatments like oral retinoids (Roaccutane). Chemical peels should be avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Other skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis may also preclude treatment. Your clinician will advise you further.
